zone-administrable-page-index - Ville de Brison Saint Innocent - Savoie
Welcome

Live, move, explore, enjoy ... in Brison St-Innocent, the art of living is a pleasure that is shared.

Located in the heart of the Savoy region, between the “Lac du Bourget” and mountains, in a natural and preserved environment, Brison St Innocent is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday combining water sports, hiking, and last but not least food and wine tasting.

Hikers and mountain bikers alike will have the pleasure to discover the beautiful hills and mountains of Corsuet Chambotte, and come across the inimitable and well preserved views over the lake.

Lake Bourget (“Lac du Bourget” in French) is the largest natural lake in France with an 18km (11.2 miles) length and 3.5km (2.2 miles) width. It is a lake with origins in a melted glacier that communicates with the Rhône through the Canal Savières, a small waterway full of charm.

Because of its size, it is protected from the north and west winds, the lake acts as a thermal regulator. The water temperature can reach 25c (77F) in the summer.
The leisure complex, located at “pointe de l’Ardre” consists of a superb patrolled beach facing the famous peak known as “Dent du Chat” (The Cat’s tooth), and many facilities including playground, volley ball and petanque grounds, and a paddleboat renting service.

Brison St-Innocent enjoys privileged conditions that gave it the nickname of “The Nice of Savoy” (note: Nice is a famous city located on the Mediterranean coast, South of France).  In the local gardens you can see olive trees and mimosas. Fig, almond, ivy wig, pistachio, Judas trees, bay laurel, white jasmine and banana trees are also likely to grow in our village’s gardens.

Opposite the village, the wild coast of the lake has a untamed forest, home to the Hautecombe’s Abbey, and is crowned with the famous "Dent du Chat", making the connection between the Alps and the Jura mountains.

Close to the vilage, Aix-les-Bains is the second busiest spa town in France. The quality of thermal waters was already known in Roman Gallo times, as evidenced by the Roman baths, the archaeological museum, and a temple dedicated to the goddess Diana.

The city had its heyday in the nineteenth century. Throughout the town, the testimonials of the past will catch you attention. One can easily imagine the artists, writers and crowned heads of Europe who came here during the last century to “have a bath" at Aix-les-Bains. From the Spa to the downtown flower park, you take the same route as Queen Victoria and discover the romantic charms of the city, following the footsteps of French artists such as Lamartine, Balzac and Dumas.

The town features an 18-hole golf course, a spa, a casino, cruises on the lake, a racecourse and more.

We look forward to welcoming you.
